Easter

Here are my girls all dressed up for Easter!! Lane even let me fix her hair and she looked so grown up!!! It was just us for the day Chad had to work he was still in Nashville so he didn't get to come home. After church and some egg hunting at home it was off to meet Nana. They had spring break last week and were invited to spend the week with Nana and Pawpaw Jay in TN. They had a great time and I don't think any of them missed me at all!! Chad got to come home and will be in town working for a few month's before the next big job in Nashville. Hope everyone had a great Easter!! Stay tuned for the next big event around here....MY 20 year (yes I said 20) High School Reunion!!! OH.... I forgot that will be after CHAD turns 37, that should make for some good pictures!!!

Daddy Daughter Dance

After the Birthday Party it was off to the Daddy Daughter Dance for Lane and Carley. This is put on by the school's PTA. It is alot of fun the girl's get all dressed up and so does dad and it is off for a night of FUN and DANCING which Chad doesn't do much of. Above is Lane all dressed up for her LAST year to attend the dance. Below Is a picture of the whole gang. Chad's brother Uncle Steve (aka Uncle Monkey) who went along for the Fun!!

Here is Carley who is all Smiles!! And yes Karcen and I had to drop in on them at the dance to see what they were doing. I can tell you they weren't dancing!!! She had to pose in a picture too.

Karcen's 3rd B-day

Karcen turned 3 on March 7th. She had a Tinker Bell Party to celebrate. I made her cake which looks like an earthquake hit it!!!
She got lot's of great gift's and some REALLY CUTE clothes. But her most favorite gift was given to her by Nannie!!! All of you know I sing in the Praise Band and Stephanie(Nannie) has fallen in LOVE with a singer named Tommy Walker. He is very talented and has some really great Praise and Worship Songs that we have learned and do at Church on Sunday's. Since she is a Tommy Walker Stalker and plays his CD's all the time Karcen as grown to love him just as much as her Nannie. We listen to him in the car all the time. Well when Nannie asked Karcen what she wanted for her Birthday she told her a Guitar. But not just any guitar oh no that would be to boring she wanted a Tommy Walker Guitar with strings and everything!! She was very excited when she opened her gift as you can see she couldn't wait to get on Nannie's lap and play and sing her favorite Tommy Walker song To God Be the Glory!!! For those of you who like Contemporary Christian Music you should give Tommy Walker a listen you would really enjoy his music!!

It was beautiful one Saturday back in February and Nana(my mom) and Aunt Mary Lou were down so we took the kids to the park. My 2 Twin Nephews pose in the picture with the girls.

One day last week I picked Karcen up from school, she came running to the car GRAWLING at me!! She had learned about Bear's that day, her teacher Mrs. Robin had given them each a paper cup. She told them to color it brown then they got a pom-pom and glued eyes to it, then she told them to put the bear in his cave (the cup). Karcen being he bright child she is looked at her and said "Mrs. Robin you know that is a cup"!!! It was to cute!! I know you can't tell from the picture but she is GRAWLING at you too!!

Chad left for Nashville on Tuesday, what should have been an easy 8hr drive ended up being 12 1/2 hrs. They got on the other side of Black Mountain on I40 and some kind of belt on his truck broke(that was at 10:30). So that sat on the side of the road for a few hours waiting on Jeff to come fix it I think the called me at 2:30 to let me know he was on the road again!!! So he has been gone for 6 day's now and the girl's are still alive!!! We have kept ourselves busy this week and this weekend they had birthday parties to attend so that kept them occupied.

And yes to answer the question many of you have when Chad is away I have taken stock in the Cereal Companie's. I think I only had it 3 night's last week!! But not to fear I bought 3 big box's last night at Walmart so I have lot's of cereal eating for this week!!! Carley and Karcen will eat it right along with me but not Lane she is like her daddy she want's real food!! She looks forward to the weekends he come's home and she can get actual food as she will say!!!

My First Blog

I am making an attempt at the BLOG thing, many of you know I am not very computer smart so we shall see how this goes. Stephine (AKA Nannie to many of us) has enjoyed doing her blog of all kids so I thought I would start on for some of you to keep up on what is going on with us.

I chose today to start and post some pictures of our BIG Snow!!! When I picked up the girls yesterday Carley informed me that her teacher Mrs. Nicely told them that if they slept with their PJ's inside out and a spoon under their pillow it would snow, I laughed and Carley decided not to try out the theory. I am always the one to say "It's not going to snow so don't get your hopes up"!! Well guess what I was WRONG, Imagine That and I was reminded of it this morning when I droped the girls off at Nannies. Zack greated me at the door pointing and shaking his finger and saying you were wrong it did to snow!!! Gotta Love a 4yr old!!!

Other than the excitement of the SNOW not much else is going on here at the Burnette house besides the fact that Chad will be leaving on the 27th to go to Nashville to work, he will be gone for 3 months to start and could end up being 8-9 months. Don't know who you should be praying for Me or the girls!?!?!
